QDC Welcome Party for Freshmen of 2015/16 Batch

The 2015 Qindao College orientation program in welcoming new students was held on 22 Sep at the Music Square of the college.

The annual high-profile campus culture musical-theatrical event was staged in full passion and enthusiasm that attracted thousands of people to this grand event.

The theme of this year event is named "QIN", You LISTEN to Me!

Among the guests of honor who graced this year event were College Party Branch Secretary Wang Jinghua, Vice President Wang Yuan, Mr. Zhao, directors of each department, assistant directors, counselors and freshmen's parents.

After a long and careful planning, preparation and repeated rehearsals, the welcoming gala show was officially opened with mysterious veil at 18:30 on 22 Sep 2015. Before the grand party starts, a short video documentary of the past month activities in the college was aired to the audiences on a giant wide screen located at the center stage. The scenes of new students registration and enrollment, military training, parade and opening ceremony captured the attention of everyone. When familiar faces and stunning pictures appeared on the screen, the audiences responded with big round of applause, tempted shouting and cheering. The final part of the video throwback variety of pictures and scenes of the gala show preparation, hard work and efforts of the rehearsal process by several hundred staff, participating crew members and students.

An array of fun-filled and action-packed performances were lined up for the evening.

Students from the dance troupe sports team kicked-start with a musical dance titled "Train No.79" as the prelude to the evening event. Followed by the debut of four presenters, the cultural musical-theatrical event was all set to open its first chapter with the theme of - "A Dream Place to Start Our Journey, See You There!"

Four students from Associations of Guitar Club and Students Art Society Group entertained the audiences with a rock and roll musical titled 'Anti-war Youth ", immediately ignited the enthusiasm and heat from all.

All students from the recent concluded college's military training presented a new military-medley song had further lived up the whole atmosphere with momentum and impassioned the audiences to follow the chorus together.

The Students Art Society Group - Model Team presented a beautiful modelling show with the title "The Eternal Promise". The stunning performance of the models on stage attracted the admiration of all.

Theatrical performance presented by the students of Department of Foreign Languages with the title "Princess Huan Zhu" vividly depicted the classic clips of the popular TV drama series in China - "My Fair Princess," . Funny actors and witty performances amused all with laughter and many more performances and shows were presented by talented students in grand styled and elegant costumes to the delight of all.

The event ended with big and warm applause from the audiences when the 4 presenters made declaration of the success and conclusion of this year event. So long farewell, till with meet again next year!

The successful conclusion of the registration and enrollment, a month-long military training, parade, orientation ceremony and now the grand gala cultural event for freshmen of 2015/16 batch marked officially the start of their college school life at QDC.
