The 2nd undergraduate student exchange program between Guanghua School of Stomatology and University of Glasgow Dental School held.
From June 1 to July 3, 2015, the 2nd undergraduate student exchange program between Guanghua School of Stomatology at Sun Yat-sen University and University of Glasgow Dental School was successfully held.
In the four weeks, six fourth year students from University of Glasgow Dental School studied in the Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics Department, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Department, Prosthodontics Department, Pediatric Dentistry Department, and Institute of Stomatological Research at Guanghua School of Stomatology (Hospital of Stomatology), SYSU.
In addition, the exchange students participated in case discussions in the departments, and gave dental health promotion in the SYSU North Campus Kindergarten. The teachers also organized various cultural activities for the exchange students such as sightseeing, visiting a gallery, learning Tai Chi, listening to Guqin performance and making dumplings.

On July 3, the exchange program report meeting was held in the Lecture Hall of Hospital of Stomatology, SYSU. Secretary Li Xiangzhi, Executive Deputy Dean Cheng Bin, Deputy Dean Lin Huancai, Deputy Dean Lin Zhengmei, Assistant Dean Wei Xi, and all the exchange students attended the meeting. The exchange students reported on the differences and similarities between the two countries in medical system, hospital, physician, educational system, school and student, and made several suggestions for the exchange program.

This exchange program has enhanced the teaching and cultural communication between faculty and students of University of Glasgow Dental School and Guanghua School of Stomatology, and broadened the academic horizons of the exchange students.
In early 2015, Guanghua School of Stomatology at Sun Yat-sen University and University of Glasgow Dental School decided to hold the second undergraduate student exchange program and started to select the students respectively. From June 1 to June 28, five senior students from Guanghua School of Stomatology paid a study visit to University of Glasgow Dental School, Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Southern General Hospital, and Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. They learned more about the dental education and medical system in the UK.
