Introduction to South China Institute (SCI)
Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) South China Institute (SCI) is a newly established campus in Foshan, Guangdong province under the direct authority of Beijing Foreign Studies University.
The school is integrated institution with international standards committed to industry, education and research.
On 2015 May 20th, SCI was officially unveiled in Sino-European Service Center in Foshan, Guangdong Province.
As the only education and research institution in the Industrial Zone, SCI aims to provide knowledge and consultancy support to business practices.
Teaching and study activities are practice oriented and integrated with local businesses, which clearly differentiates SCI from a traditional education institution.
SCI is an important supplement to and development of the BFSU Beijing campus.

1. Foundation Program (English for Academic Purpose - EAP)
Introduction to the Program
The Foundation Program at South China Institute (SCI) is designed for international students who intend to enroll for a business degree course, but are not qualified in an academic setting.
The BFSU-SCI Foundation Program prepares students with O-Levels or its equivalent qualification to enter onto undergraduate degree programs offered by BFSU.
The program provide student with core subjects that will enhance their English proficiency, business and academic knowledge and at the same time, develop their understanding and appreciation of other basic subjects.
Students in this program for one semester or one year prior to enrolling for a degree course. Reasonable English proficiency is a requirement for entry to the program.

2. Chinese Language Training Programs
Chinese Language Training Program Introduction to the Program The Chinese Language Training Program at South China Institute (SCI) is a one semester or one year program for international students.
The Program Teaching of the Chinese language is offered at various levels based on students’ language proficiency, which covers from zero-basis starters to higher levels. The courses are focused on aural and oral training.

The program is designed for non-degree seeking students who will spend one semester in China and hope to acquire better understanding about contemporary China. Not only to LEARN but to EXPERIENCE the dynamic cultural and business context of China, as well as its interaction with the other major economies.
BFSU helps students with internships an career advice. Such as with ShunFeng, HSBC, Deloitte, PWC, Mercedes Benz, JP Morgan Chase etc.
