GLOBAL INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT AND ECONOMICS
The Global Institute of Management and Economics (GIME) was created in 1997 when Dongbei University of Finance and Economics (DUFE) established its first international faculty and student exchange programme.
It has developed into a top quality international study centre with excellent modern facilities - unlike any available elsewhere in other Chinese universities.
What is GIME?
GIME is a highly regarded school of Dongbei University of Finance and Economics offering undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes. It is a research-orientated academy with its focuses on international business management, tourism management, information management and information systems, accounting and international finance.
GIME has an excellent teaching and researching faculty with more than 70 staff offering a wide range of international educational experience.
The Institute fulfils one of DUFE’s strategic goals for internationalisation, and is a pioneer of international education within China. GIME has 150 international students from a range of countries including Russia, Indonesia, Thailand, Turkey, Pakistan, Nigeria, France, Germany, USA and Nepal.

Academic excellence
GIME has an excellent teaching and researching faculty with more than 60 staff offering a wide range of international educational experience. First year students averaged a 95% test score.
Over 85% of the faculty lecturers are qualified with doctoral degrees, most of whom graduated from Cambridge University, Birkbeck University of London, London School of Economics and Political Science, University of California (Berkeley), Pennsylvania State University, Washington State University and the University of Sydney.
